Our Focus Is the City

Every morning, I wake up with a sense of purpose that stirs deep within me. There’s a fire in my spirit, a drive that tells me I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, doing exactly what I was called to do. My heart is set on this city—Rocky Mount, North Carolina. My wife, Yolanda, and I made this city our mission field, not by chance, but by divine calling. Together, we understand that we are here for one reason: to focus on the city.

Our journey isn’t about titles or accolades. It’s not about pursuing personal gain. We are here to empower people in Christ, to see lives transformed and futures restored. The mission is clear and unwavering. Yes, God has given us many talents, and we are grateful for the opportunities to use them, but above all, we are called to focus on the heart of this city—its people. 

A city is more than streets and buildings. It’s a tapestry woven with lives of every age, race, and background. There are men, women, and children who face struggles, joys, hardships, and triumphs—each one loved deeply by God. That’s who Yolanda and I are here for. That’s who EPIC Fellowship is here for. We rise every day with this in mind: the people matter. We are intentional in speaking to all generations because God's love is for everyone, no matter their story or situation.

To the aimless, to those who feel forgotten or lost, I say this: you are not alone. This city is not without hope. The love of God is here, ready to embrace every soul willing to step forward. We see a harvest ready, waiting for those who will rise with us to bring transformation to Rocky Mount and beyond.
