Hopefully, we can agree on this point, we should include the Lord in “all things.” and we’ve decided to be “all-in” with Him concerning our working with integrity. Please allow me to share, with the assistance of Bill Peel, an award-winning author/co-author, and Pastor, about how to help Christians bring their faith to bear in every area of life, including work/career. Consider the principles below:
Four Principles of Biblical Stewardship; those things that have been entrusted by God, into our hands.

The Principle of Ownership
The fundamental principle, God owns everything. Acting on His behalf, we are simply obedient stewards, taking care of what He’s given us.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.”
(Psalm 23:1)
It is not our power and strength, done by our hands that cause wealth to come to us.
“Remembering the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth…”(Deuteronomy 8:17-18)
 The Principle of Responsibility
Although God gives us “…all things richly to enjoy…,” nothing is ours. As His stewards, we are graciously entrusted with the care, development, and enjoyment of everything He owns. We manage His holdings; according to His desires and purposes (at home, on a secular job, at church). While we complain about our rights here on earth, to do what we want (e.g., our lives, our “stuff”); the scriptures constantly ask, what about your responsibilities? Owners have rights; stewards have responsibilities.
The Principle of Accountability
Since a steward is one who manages the possessions of another. We are all stewards of all things, (e.g., resources, abilities, opportunities, time, money, information, wisdom, relationships, and authority) that God gives us. However, we are not allowed to rule over it as we see fit. We are called to exercise our dominion under the watchful eye of God, managing His creation in accordance with the principles He has established. We will be called to give an account of how we handle such things.
The Principle of Reward
Paul writes:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-24)
“You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.” (Psalm 128:2)
God rewards those who work hard; that can come in a variety of ways. If you continue
to put in a solid work ethic, you deserve whatever the outcome. Anything we set forth to do without God's initial blessing is meaningless. It's important to make sure, whatever we do is in the eyes of the Lord, and therefore we ask for His blessing over our work.
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (Psalm 90:17)

The Bible shows us in the parables of the Kingdom that faithful stewards who do the Lord’s will, with the Lord’s resources can expect to be rewarded in this life. Jesus is showing that those who use what He gives to them, to increase; that which is already His, will also be rewarded with greater opportunities and joy. To connect with Him, while walking in a joyful relationship with Him is both beneficial and rewarding.
